The IET Wiring Regulations 18th Edition has been updated. Amendment 4:2026 (BS 7671:2018+A4:2026), commonly known as the "Orange Book," is the essential standard for all electrical professionals involved in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in the UK.
This new edition is a consolidated publication. It replaces the previous BS 7671:2018+A2:2022 and the subsequent Amendment 3:2024 (Brown Book) PDF bolt-on, bringing all regulations together into a single, easy-to-reference volume.

Stationary Secondary Batteries: A brand-new chapter (Chapter 57) dedicated to the safe installation and integration of battery energy storage systems (BESS) for renewable energy and grid support.

Why You Need This Book:
As of 15th April 2026, Amendment 4 can be implemented immediately. After a six-month transition period ending on 15th October 2026, it will become the sole standard for all new electrical installations, additions, and periodic inspections.
